Woodford Reserve Double Oaked Bourbon - In High Demand & Short Supply!!
Our friends at Woodford Reserve have generously donated this exciting Woodford Reserve Bar Set-Up Assortment which includes a hard-to-find, award-winning bottle of deep amber Double Oaked Bourbon personally signed by Woodford Reserve’s Head Master Distiller, Chris Morris. Chris is the mastermind behind Woodford Reserve Double Oaked, Rye, and Master’s Collection. He knows the keys to making good whiskey are not only time and patience but also art and science. Chris began his career in bourbon in 1976 as a trainee in Brown-Forman’s central lab. In 1997, he was understudy to Lincoln Henderson, Woodford Reserve’s Inaugural Master Distiller whom Chris succeeded in 2003. In the years that followed, Chris was responsible for creating the world’s first bourbon finished in Chardonnay and Pinot Noir Barrels. He is also credited with developing the world’s first maple barrel.
Bottled in Woodford County, Kentucky, Double Oaked Bourbon, known for its smooth taste, has 7 World/International Spirits Gold Medals to its credit so far. An innovative approach to twice-barreled bourbon creates the rich and colorful flavor of Woodford Reserve Double Oaked. Uniquely matured in separate, charred oak barrels – the second barrel deeply toasted before a light charring – extracts its additional soft, sweet oak character. Tasting Notes: Deep amber color. On the nose, rich notes of dark fruit, caramel, sharp honey, chocolate, marzipan and toasted oak. On the palate, a full-bodied mix of vanilla, dark caramel, hazelnut, apple, fruit and spices. Finish, long and creamy finish with lingering hints of honeyed apple.
Bar Set-Up features a natural wood Customized Barrel Head with a copper plate especially engraved with Kentuckiana Chapter of Safari Club International and the following laser engraved/etched in glass and classic copper: 1oz/2oz Jigger, 28 oz Cocktail Shaker, Hawthorne Strainer, 6” Stir Stick, 28 oz Cocktail Mixing Glass, 6 compartment Condiment Caddy, 6 - 6oz etched Glencairn Whiskey Glasses, 4 engraved coasters, logo Bar Mat, logo Cutting Board.
