We want hunters and outfitters to have a positive experience.

Expectations of hunters:

1) Bring another hunter and extend the hunt if feasible

2) Hunt from the outfitter's price list after harvesting donated trophies if additional game are
available and tip generously

Donated hunts may not be combined with other hunts on one trip unless chapter and outfitter agrees prior to auction.

5% buyer’s premium added to winning bid and 3.4% credit card fee for credit card purchases.
Jamil Jamal of Mkwawa Hunting Safaris is again donating this 9-Day (7 full hunt days) Cape Buffalo hunt on the nearly 900,000-acre hunting concessions in the world renowned Selous Game Reserve, one of the world’s most diverse and undisturbed wilderness zones.

Jamil and his family have been operating hunting camps in the Selous for 50 years and Jamil has managed them for the last 20 years. This is a rare opportunity to bid on a Cape buffalo hunt in Tanzania with a world-class outfitter through the banquet auction process.

Jamil and Mkwawa were the cover story subject of the February 2024 American Hunter magazine, Tanzania: On the Tracks of Giants. The author hunted Cape buffalo with Jamil and harvested an ancient, 15-year-old dugga boy and noted that the concession “has huge buffalo, many over 45 inches-and plenty of game.” This area was new for Jamil because one of his previous concessions was “so well maintained and protected that the government turned it into a national park.”

The winning bidder will fly to Dar es Salaam, stay in a hotel for one night and then take a charter flight to hunting camp the next day. The camp is staffed by three professional hunters and a full camp staff.

Included: Nine days accommodations in luxury East-African-style tents (including arrival and departure days), trophy fees for a Cape buffalo, airport transfers, all meals and drinks, laundry, PH, skinner, trophy field prep, cape salting, and field transportation

Not included: Hotel stays, charter flight to hunt camp (~$5,500 RT - can be shared with other hunters or observers), license, gun permit or rental ($250/gun), ammo tax ($1/round), dip and pack ($1,500), and gratuities.

Available upgrades: Extra days hunting plains game $2,500/day (contact outfitter for rates on leopard, elephant, and lion), additional hunter $18,500, observer $350/day, and additional trophies per price list. Outfitter and chapter appreciate hunters upgrading license for longer hunt considering the generosity of this donation.
