4-Day Iberian Red Deer Hunt for 1 Hunter.
2009 SCI Outstanding Int’l Professional Hunter award recipient Giuseppe Carrizosa has donated this top-quality, Spanish hunt, including trophy fees for an Ierian Red Deer. Steeped in history, and located in the Toledo Mountains not far from Madrid, El Castanar is one of Spain’s largest private game preserves. Its hunting tradition dates back 600 years and King Alfonso XI mentions in his famous Book of Hunting how the noble art of hunting was practiced here. More recently King Alfonso XIII and General Franco hunted here, and King Juan Carlos I harvested his first wild boar at El Castanar.
Several species of big game are available at El Castanar and may be added for additional trophy fees including: Spanish Stag, Fallow Deer, Mouflon Sheep, Roe Deer, and Wild Boar. In addition this outfitter guides hunters all over Spain in pursuit of Gredos, Beceite, Southeastern, and Ronda Ibex, as well as Chamois, Barbary Sheep, Balearean Boc, and Iberian Wolf. For non-hunting companions, and in between hunts, guests may enjoy visiting historical cities (Madrid, Toledo, Seville, Granada, and Avila). When traveling outside El Castanar hunting groups generally stay at high-end renovated castles.
This deluxe package includes first-class accommodations at the Casa de Rojas, a fifteenth century building within the property, fully refurbished and equipped with spacious living quarters. Guests will also enjoy fine Spanish cuisine.
Also included are reception at Madrid Int’l Airport, assistance with gun clearance and permits, all land transportation, English-speaking professional hunter, and scouting of the hunting area prior to arrival. Hunter’s trophy fee value of $4,900 may also be applied to a different species - ask outfitter for availability. Additional hunting days may be added ($890/hunter/day and $390/non-hunter/day), as well as additional species for additional trophy fees.
Hunter is responsible for hunting insurance ($95), license ($295), and 21% VAT on total value of package.
