New Zealand Hunting Adventures
Heath Smith of New Zealand Hunting Adventures has generously donated a 5-day, red stag hunt for 1 hunter and 1 observer on the South Island for 2025. Hunter can either choose an estate stag up to 350” or a free-range stag, the latter of which is Heath’s specialty. Hunt includes accommodations and meals. Gratuities and alcohol not included. While Heath will pick you up at the Christchurch Airport, he recommends renting a car. Hunter can upgrade to add hunting days or hunters/observers ($500/day for hunter; $250/day for observer) or animals per the outfitter’s price list, including Tahr, Chamois, Fallow Deer, or Arapawa Ram. Heath will even deliver your trophies to a local taxidermist at no charge. Guide Ben Smith guided Chapter past president Dan Olson on his hunt last year for Tahr, Fallow and Chamois, and Dan said he did an outstanding job!
