The Liberty Shooting Camps have it all! Experience firsthand the mission of Hillsdale College with expert firearms instructors, world-class shooting facilities, luxurious meals and lodging, and educational talks by renowned Hillsdale College professors. Each day, you’ll be guided through training sessions to gain proficiency in pistols, shotguns, and more. In the evening when training is over, make new friends as you enjoy like-minded conversation over cocktails and dinner. All experience levels—from lifelong shooters to those with no previous experience—will find these retreats educational as well as thrilling.

Each camp offers you the opportunity learn safety, marksmanship, and firearms function – with all guns, equipment, and ammo provided! By the end of the retreat, you will be breaking clay target “pairs,” safely shooting while moving with cover and concealment, engaging steel targets with speed, and testing out various firearms with practical applications. Ladies for Liberty is offered for ladies of all levels of experience – first timers to seasoned shooter. Training for Liberty is offered for men of all levels of experience.

Hillsdale College’s John Anthony Halter Shooting Sports Education Center is a world-class destination for firearms education. Located about five miles from campus, the Center contains nine American trap fields, one five-stand sporting clays field, four American/International skeet fields, five International/Olympic bunker trap fields, an outdoor Olympic archery range, a 23-station sporting clays course, the Ailes Action Shooting small arms and rifle range, and a lodge and education center. The College plans to add an indoor airgun and 25-meter archery range, as well as a covered 50-meter pistol and rifle range. Collegiate courses, as well as shooting sports and archery clubs, afford interested students a chance to hone their skills, while national championship shotgun and action shooting teams, as well as air rifle and pistol teams, offer opportunities for students interested in competitive shooting. The Halter Center is also the official Home of the USA Shooting National Team, and hosts the U.S. National Open and Junior Shotgun Championships annually.
