Hunt details: This is an incredible arctic hunting experience in Greenland for Musk Ox! Due to good vegetation and food the musk ox in Western Greenland is typically larger in body and trophy quality than found elsewhere! Hunters will have a 100% shot opportunity as there is an abundance of trophy animals. The hunt is not a physically tough hunt and we have had elderly clients go on this hunt with no problem. Hunting using ATVs and staying in a cozy, warm cabin with hot home cooked meals makes it very enjoyable. 100% shot opportunity on a trophy bull muskox.
The hunt includes: 1 trophy musk ox, pick up and drop off from Kanglussuaq airport, Greenland, all meals, coffee and tea, water, field preparation of trophies and accommodation in warm, comfortable cabin.
Not included: Flights, gun hire $150, rental of seal skin outerwear clothing and PAC boots $250, bag for trophy shipping to Denmark $100, tips and gratuities at your discretion, and shipping of trophies to Denmark and then to final destination.
Getting there: Fly to Copenhagen and spend the night. Next morning depart for Kanglussuaq, Greenland on Air Greenland flight, approximately 5 hours. The outfitter will meet you on arrival and you will transfer to camp by ATV and 4wd vehicle. Your hunt will start that afternoon. You will hunt the next two days. On day 4 you will be dropped off back to the airport for your flight back to Copenhagen. You will have to overnight in Copenhagen before flying back to the States.
Other Notes: No Caribou are available to hunt currently. A second Musk ox can be added for an extra fee of $3,200. The hunt can be done with rifle or archery equipment. Trophies are sent frozen to a taxidermist in Denmark who will prepare them for shipment back to the United States or for final taxidermy work. This arrangement is between the hunting client and the taxidermist. Visas are on arrival for US passport holders in Denmark and Greenland.
We have been offering this hunt in Greenland for several years and all our clients have had a very enjoyable hunt. We have also offered this hunt to other SCI chapters, and they have sold well. If you wish to you after the auction has taken place, you can announce that other bidders can also go at the winning bid price, and you can sell multiple hunts. At this moment we do have availability for 2023, but please check if there are larger groups, apart from the winning bidder.
