FREDERIC REMINGTON "THE SCALP" LARGE BRONZE SCULPTURE
Frederic Remington's "The Scalp" ~ 20" x 9" x 25". An amazing, high-quality later casting with patina on a green marble base. Remington’s fourth bronze, and his first of a Native American subject, was copyrighted in December 1898 as “The Triumph.” The more common title, “The Scalp”, refers specifically to the lock of hair that the figure, mounted bareback on a horse, holds aloft in his right fist.
