Value 4000.00

This never before auction is one-of-a-kind, an extraordinary outdoor adventure designed to inspire even the most seasoned traveling sportsman! You will be fishing hallowed grounds, believed by many to be the greatest tarpon fishing destination in the world! Two lucky people (parent-child/husband-wife/fishing buddies) will be in pursuit of arguably the world's greatest game fish...100lb plus monster tarpon aptly named the “silver king” for their tireless acrobatic fighting ability, and proclivity to throw your hook! They say if you have not caught and landed the "Mack Truck" of fighting fish you have NOT fished! You’re personal private host will be a renowned fishing tarpon guide Capt Jamie Goodwin. The Capt was the star of the Outdoor Channel “The Tarpon of Boca” a 13 episode television reality series, and subsequently named their CAPTAIN OF THE YEAR. He has more than 160 television and media appearances, reaching over 40 million homes! He is a top tarpon tournament champion with several fish over 200lbs, and is considered by many to be one of the best in the world in this challenging sport.
Best way to explain tarpon fisthing with Capt Jamie is that excitement continues to grow hour after hour with each cast as you hunt, “sight fish” for breaching/rolling tarpon schools many times numbering in the hundreds! These are truly perfect evolutionary species, with large lung-like air bladders that get filled up when 'rolling" on the surface, they have not changed significantly in over 100 million years! So it Doesn't matter if your casting live crabs on a heavy spinning rod, or finenessing long casts with a 12 weight flyrod with streamers cause 20 foot from the dock you have the chance to hook into a 200lb/ 6.5" long /45" circumference record class tarpon which will give you the most magnificent fight of your fishing career! Boca Grande Pass produced a big female caught on fishing tackle in 2004 that weighted 276 lbs, was 8" long, and was 45" around, plus each year hundreds go over the magic 175lb mark! This body of water regularly produces 5000-6000 catch and released tarpon with the average size 90-130 lbs (most acrobatic fighters) during the prime season April-June. You will not have a better chance of catching a PB, or landing a 150lb plus tarpon as you are fishing right during that prime silver king migration. Our BOD Julius Fortuna has personally fished 3 times with capt jamie over the last 10 years and each day trip he hooked 5-7- 100lb plus tarpon while landed 2-3 on average (see video) his personal best was 165. He cant speak highly enough about his tarpon adventures with him! When boats all around him came in empty Capt Jamie helped him land muliple 100lbers!
The adventure doesn't end after fishing, when he docks one of his modern fully equipped 24” Sheaffer boats w/Yamaha 300 motor you'll be stepping ashore of one of this country's most unique island getaways...the historic Cabbage Key Inn (Island)! You'll spend 2 days and 3 nights discovering for yourself what a “lifestyle of the rich and famous” hideaway dating back over a century feels like! One hundred acres of tropical island vegetation surrounding the historic restaurant, inn and rental cottages. A panoramic view of Pine Island Sound, is provided from the front porch of our open-air restaurant that services fresh caught stone crabs, fresh fish, and prawns. There are no cars here, no paved roads, the only way in and out is via a short boat ride from a professional licensed waterway taxi service (Island Girl Charters) with daily service from Pineland Marina. The marina is a short 50m drive from Fort Meyers/ Southwestern Florida International Airport, or 2hrs from Tampa/St Pete (water taxi round trip cost from Pineland Marina included). While the island has no sandy beach front, you will find winding secluded nature trails, romantic picturesque views, and pure relaxation void of any commercialization! TripAdvisor gives them multiple years “Travelers’ Choice Awards"!
Most visitors come here after fishing to dock and dine, whether it’s breakfast, lunch, or exquisite chef prepared dinners (SCI LV already booked your mandatory reservations) the cuisine and service is worth the price of admission! Think that's hyperbole...think again, the islands frequent, long stay guests who've spent many evenings bent elbow at the lost-in-time bar are none other than Ernest Hemingway, Katherine Hepburn, Mary Roberts Rinehart, Jimmy Buffet Ted Kopple, Rob Lowe, Julie Roberts, and Ed McMahon to name a few!
Tucked within the Historic Cabbage Key Inn, you’ll find six charming, and newly remodeled rooms, you'll be staying in “Room 4” (2 beds) all of which still have the original, beautiful hardwood floors. These rooms are located down the hallways on each side of the Inn. Each room is unique, intimate and tastefully decorated. All rooms are non-smoking, have air-conditioning, private baths, televisions and convenient access to our restaurant and lounge. These rooms do not have phones or refrigerators...however there is WiFi available in the Inn. Upon your arrival June 6th 2025 you can check in (after 3) Check out June 8 before 11M
