Caribsea Sportfishing has donated a 2 day/3-night offshore FAD (Fishing Aggregating Devices) overnight fishing trip. Caribsea Sportfishing offers world class inshore, offshore and overnight fishing trips to the most fertile fishing grounds of Costa Rica. Schedule this trip for August 2022 only, for four (4) anglers and24 hours of fishing. Departure will be the night before between 6p.m. and 10 p.m. and you will travel overnight. Day 1 and day 2 you will be fish 5:00 am to dark. Day 3 arrive back in Quepos around 8:00 a.m. If you want to have the closest things to a guaranteed Marlin catch, this is your trip. The FADs in Costa Rica are producing some of the most insane marlin fishing anywhere in the world. On any given day at the FADs, you may see double digit Marlin along with sailfish and Mahi-Mahi. Trip includes on-board lodging, breakfast, lunch and dinner, beer, fresh fruits, snacks, professional crew, bait, and tackle. Your arrival airport is San Jose International Airport and Quepos is a two-hour drive from San Jose. Airfare and transportation from the airport to the marina not included.
Quepos is located in the central pacific of Costa Rica and this area of Costa Rica offers excellent sport fishing year-round. Costa Rica has an abundance of dormant/old underwater volcanoes scattered between 70-150 miles offshore. Because of the change in water depth and congregation of bait in these areas they have proven a perfect place to deploy Fish aggregating Devices.
Trip can be upgraded to add a full day sailfish extension. Upon returning to the Quepos area the morning after your last day at the seamount/FADs, you can fish from sunup to 2pm for sailfish. Additional days on our inshore boats can be added for inshore fishing to target species like roosterfish, grouper, red snapper, amberjack, and cubera snapper. Offshore or overnight trips allow you to target are pelagic species like blue marlin, black marlin, sailfish, yellowfin tuna, dorado and wahoo.
