Exhibitor and Utah SCI chapter member Kent Huff, owner of Glacier Bay Eagles Nest Lodge in Gustavis, Alaska has donated this 5-day fishing trip for one angler for halibut, salmon, and bottom fish.
The area around Glacier Bay is known for the world’s best halibut fishing and world-class salmon fishing on the calm protected waters of the inside passage. Kent’s guests have caught six fish in the past six years that were larger than the current world record. These fish weighed in at 482, 476, 470, 468 and 2 at 466 pounds. The lodge also had a guest catch a certified-line class world record. If you want to catch a giant halibut, this is the place.
Their boats are 28’ to 32’ long with an enclosed cabin, heater, and head. They have a large fish deck with all the latest electronic equipment. The boats can accommodate up to six anglers. Parties of four or more can reserve the total boat. All rods, reels, bait, gear, license and an experienced captain are included.
Alaska Airline flies into Gustavis once per day in the summer. Staff member picks up guests at the airport and drives them to the lodge. Anglers fly in on Monday, fish five days (Tuesday through Saturday), and fly out Saturday evening. Glacier Bay boasts an 80% client return or referral rate. This is a world-class fishing experience.
Included: Five days guided fishing for one angler, lodging, meals, rods, reels, bait, gear, license, stamps, fish filleting, vacuum packing, and boxing of your fish.
Not Included: Airfare, hotel in Juneau or Seattle if required, gratuities, and alcohol.
Available Upgrades: Additional anglers for $5,000 (for four on the boat - discounts for five or six on a boat).
