Join O’Brien Creek Outfitters on a 10-day baited brown bear hunt in Alaska.

Your hunt will start in Wasilla, AK and from there you will be flown out to your camp and bait site via super cub. This area allows hunting the same day airborne, so you’ll be able to start hunting right away. The unit we are hunting has one of the most densely populated areas in the state and allows for up to 2 brown bears and 5 black bears to be harvested. A second brown bear can be harvested for a trophy fee of $10,000 and up to 5 black bears can also be harvested on a trophy fee basis for $1,000 per black bear.

This package includes a fully guided one-on-one hunt, tent accommodations, meals, and flights from your starting point into and out of the field. Hunting license, tags, gratuities, meat processing, taxidermy, shipping of your trophy and/or meat, travel to and from your starting point, and hotels/food before and after your hunt are NOT included.

This is not a physically demanding hunt and is a great option for anyone. Perfect for both archery and rifle hunters. All our baits are equipped with trail cameras that are checked daily to make sure you are hunting the best bears hitting the baiting during your hunt. We will move you and your guide once during your hunt if your chances of getting a bear are better at a different bait.

You will be hunting all night so be prepared to sit 12-14 hours a night. This time of year, it is light enough to shoot almost all night, but there may be a couple hour window of time where it may be too dark to shoot. We have found that it is best to stay in the stand as morning can be very productive. Brown bears average 7.5-9.5 feet with 23-27” skulls while black bears average 6-7 feet with 16-19” skulls.
