This is a 100% Do-It-Yourself drop off hunt, where you are accountable for all your, gear, food and shelter.

Golden Eagle Outfitters operates in Alaska Hunting Unit 23 which is home to the Western Arctic Caribou herd. This is Alaska’s largest caribou herd and tags are available online. Hunting is open to both residents and non-resident hunters. This area also has a great population of wolves and non-resident hunters are encouraged to purchase a non-resident locking tag. ($ 60 per tag)

The Western Arctic Herd (WAH)
is one of the largest caribou herds in the world. They range over a territory of about 157,000 square miles in Northwest Alaska. To put this in perspective, that is roughly the size of California.

Included is the roundtrip transportation for two hunters with a maximum of 80lbs (160 lbs. total) of gear per person, game transport for 1 caribou per hunter to Kotzebue and wolves fly free!

Not Included and if required, extra trips to transport gear if over 80lbs, extra or early trophy/meat pick-up or repositioning to a new location rate is $900 per hour. Special drop off for Arctic Char fishing can be arranged at $1,100 per person. (2-person min.)

The Kotzebue area has many remote Alaska Rivers & Streams, that can present World Class Alaska fishing opportunities for various species of sport fish. Our Alaska Air Service will fly you in to go Dolly Varden fishing, Northern Pike fishing and Sheefish fishing.

Nonresident military personnel who are Active-duty members of the U.S. military or the U.S. Coast Guard and their dependents, who do not qualify as residents and who are permanently stationed in Alaska (with Permanent Change of Station) may obtain a special nonresident military hunting license.

Nonresident military license fees Hunting.............................$45 Hunting/sport fishing........$69 Locking tags are not required for caribou and wolves.
