The location we live and hunt in, is Mansfield, a town situated very close to the location of where The Man from Snowy River movie was filmed in that unforgettable mountain scenery and Australian Bush.
Sambar Deer are Australia's No 1 game species. The MIGHTY SAMBAR is the second largest deer species, second only to the Elk, larger and heavier in the body than a Red Stag. The Sambar is a very elusive deer, being almost nocturnal and having excellent senses, they thrive in thick vegetation making this a very challenging and rewarding hunt.
The hunter needs to be fit and able to walk mountain terrain to maximize the chance of securing this highly prized trophy. German Wirehair Pointer (Gus) to help, locate, follow and recover wounded game if necessary.
