Peter Thormahlen of Thormahlen & Cochran Safaris, has donated a fantastic 7-day free range hunting safari for one hunter and one observer for use in 2025 or 2026. The couple will travel to the Caprivi Strip in Namibia will be hunting a non-exportable crocodile. The Government of Namibia issues non-exportable animal permits to the Conservancy. The local community receives the animal carcass from the hunt which gives them ownership and personal interest in their affairs, motivating them to protect all the animals. Taxidermists are available who can make a replica of your trophy if you desire. Thormahlen & Cochran Safaris are dedicated to making your African safari an unforgettable experience. It is a unique landscape that floods every year, and when it dries up it is covered with tall grass, providing food for large numbers of game. Best time: April to November. Thormahlen & Cochran’s classic tented safari camp (with en-suite bathrooms, electricity and laundry service), with a lapa and fire-pit, local personnel employed, provide excellent African cuisine and a cultural experience that will make your stay the most memorable experience of your life. Consider adding a trophy buffalo, hippo, elephant, Chapman zebra or a non-trophy/non-exportable buffalo, hippo or elephant. Also, there is the option of travelling over to South Africa to add plains game to your bag. The famous Victoria Falls are close to the concession and clients can add a day or two to visit the famous landmark. Meet your guides in Kasane, Botswana or take a connection from Windhoek to Katima Mulilo, to begin your fantastic week. Included are meals, accommodations, drinks, field preparation of trophies, PH services and skinners/trackers. Not included are airfare, taxidermy services, dip and pack services or gratuities.
