Enjoy 5 nights in a cozy 1 bed/1 bath cabin on the Conejos River just below the Platoro Reservoir. Winner can upgrade to a larger cabin or stay longer at regular prices. Platoro is one of the last natural and unspoiled vacation destinations in Colorado. Nestled in the San Juan Mountains of southern Colorado, Platoro started out as a boomtown in the late 1800s following the discovery of large deposits of gold and silver in the area. Even today, you can still find plenty of gold and silver in the Conejos River valley. Enjoy world-class trout fishing in the Conejos River, Platoro Reservoir, or one of the pristine high mountain lakes. Hike or ride your ATV in the most beautiful scenery imaginable. You can also pan for gold, watch for shooting stars, photograph numerous species of birds and wildlife, or just relax on the porch with a book and breathe in the clean mountain air. Bigfoot sightings abound in the Conejos valley, so be prepared!
